Daniel Verschueren - Master Model Builder

My favorite hobby is doing what you scattered within this blog, making models in the C.G.I. world. I can't quite explain the passion or the energy and excitement I get from doing this as a hobby. And sometimes I not only get excited about other C.G. model builders, I also get knocked over by the breathtaking work of folks who make actual scale models you can touch. Daniel Verschueren is one such model-builder.

Daniel and I have been exchanging emails today and he has graciously shared his photos with me of his work. What used to frustrate me with seeing models in the Google Sketchup Warehouse was people would stop at building only exteriors and never went a step further with interiors and major detailing. It's pretty clear that when you look at Daniel's work he doesn't suffer from fear of detail. In the spirit of Jon Zweifel's work, Daniel has distinguished himself in fine detail by going the extra mile and beyond to be accurate in his work. I am astonished at how detailed his work is.

Below you will see his examples of aircraft hangers including Air Force One's Hanger 19. And you will also see his stunning model of the Air Craft Carrier Enterprise. I am posting Daniel's photos with his permission. He doesn't have a website yet. Just amazing work. It's a true honor that a craftsman like Daniel would initiate contact with another enthusiast like myself and share his passion with me. Thank you Daniel.
